I am extremely happy with these ladies here at Hair of the Dawg. I brought my five month old Cavpoo for her first hair cut and they did amazing my little girl looks fantastic. They were extremely loving and friendly and super affectionate with my baby. The pricing was extremely reasonable and fair for the fantastic services they provide. I would highly recommend and suggest them to everyone ❤️❤️❤️❤️

They did such an amazing job on my anxious fluffy *mini aussie mix. He was rinsed and dried really well and not over trimmed. That seems small, but if ykyk.

I have one of those dogs that is just a teddy bear, until he reaches the groomer - then he's a psycho that needs a prescription to not become a killer haha... laughing, but... it's not funny guys! Anyway, we had Brittany and they let me stay with him. She was so patient and friendly... honestly, i want to hang out with Brittany! We were like old friends taking care of my guy. It was a great experience. And the owner, treated us all like family. It's great to have a place with so much care and patience for my dog's behavioral issue. And super friendly to us as well. All around great experience.

On 5/7/2026 Jan McArdle had this to say:
Our dogs love it here! Both the ladies are so kind to both our dogs. Joey starts wagging his tail when he realizes where he’s at. They are amazing! Joey jumps into the bath, then when he’s done he jumps on the groom table! They always help us back to the car. So happy that I came here. Testimonial written by Jan McArdle on this site.

🐾 **Help Us Help Some Cats in Need!** 🐾

We’re reaching out to our amazing community because sometimes helping others means thinking outside the box. ❤️

A friend of ours is currently caring for approximately **30 stray cats and kittens** that have been abandoned or dropped off at her farm. She is doing everything she can to care for them, and they are also working toward getting the cats **spayed/neutered**.

Right now, one of their biggest needs is **cat and kitten food**.

We’re hoping that, if you have a heart for animals and would like to help, you might consider donating a bag or can of cat food. **There is absolutely no pressure or expectation—we’re simply putting it out there in case someone would like to lend a hand.** 🐱❤️

If you’d like to help with food or have questions about how you can contribute, please contact **(815) 823-3844**.

And because we believe in helping however we can, we’re also considering offering **10% off a full grooming appointment** as another way to encourage support for these cats. 🐾

Every bag of food, every helping hand, and every bit of kindness can make a difference.

Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read this and to those who are willing to help. ❤️🐾

We're incredibly proud to share the impact of our recent Easter Bunny event! Thanks to the amazing support of our customers and community, the proceeds helped the Braidwood Fire Protection District purchase pet oxygen mask kits for all three ambulances.

These specialized masks provide lifesaving oxygen to pets affected by fire, smoke inhalation, and other emergencies. As pet lovers ourselves, knowing that local first responders now have these tools to help save beloved family pets is truly rewarding.
