I have one of those dogs that is just a teddy bear, until he reaches the groomer - then he's a psycho that needs a prescription to not become a killer haha... laughing, but... it's not funny guys! Anyway, we had Brittany and they let me stay with him. She was so patient and friendly... honestly, i want to hang out with Brittany! We were like old friends taking care of my guy. It was a great experience. And the owner, treated us all like family. It's great to have a place with so much care and patience for my dog's behavioral issue. And super friendly to us as well. Hair of the Dawg is located at 167 E Main Street, Suite 1, Braidwood, IL 60408. The salon operates Monday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Wednesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. We are open on Saturdays by appointment only

What grooming services are offered?

They provide puppy facials, full-service grooming, de-shedding treatments, precision nail trimming, and specialty blueberry facials. The focus is on soothing spa-style treatments for dogs.

What grooming packages and add-ons are available?

Hair of the Dawg offers comprehensive grooming packages including a full grooming spa treatment, plus a la carte options like ear cleaning/plucking for $12, nail clipping/grinding for $15, paw pad cleaning for $15, and teeth cleaning for $10.

Do you use natural or special products during grooming?

Yes, the salon uses all-natural, pet-safe products, including their signature blueberry dog facials, to provide gentle, safe treatments tailored to each dog’s needs.

Do you accept walk-in appointments?

While they recommend scheduling in advance, Hair of the Dawg will do their best to accommodate walk-ins for spa treatments or shorter services. Full grooming appointments require reservations due to their time requirements. For nail trimming, we do accept all walk-ins!
